Houston had a remarkable season, finishing 35–5, winning both the Big 12 regular season and tournament titles, and making a late push in the tournament before falling just short in the final. On the individual front, freshman phenom Cooper Flagg was the consensus National Player of the Year, dazzling fans with his two-way impact throughout the season and anchoring Duke’s dominance in the ACC and nationally.
