version 1.5 Patch Notes (1/31/26)

Patch v1.5 is a stability, stat integrity, and usability update. This patch addresses several edge-case issues, visual output problems, in game tempo and quality-of-life improvements across both the Game file and Stat Manager.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed game statistics to be saved when a game was tied in overtime.

  • Fixed an Install New Season error that could prevent successful Season Add-On installation.

  • Fixed Conference Win % calculation on the Standings page.

  • Addressed game TEMPO lag through internal game engine adjustments to ORTG and Team Transition Opportunities.

  • Updated various font sizes for better visuals throughout the Game and Stat Manager file

  • Fixed a Play-by-Play PRINT issue that caused overlapping text.

  • Fixed an issue with Team Color reversal not carrying through from Setup screen to the Bench and Court view.

  • Increased font sizes and row heights in the Stat Manager for improved readability.

  • Added a desktop shortcut link to the Game Manual for easier access.

version 1.4 Patch Notes (12/29/25)

Patch v1.4 is a targeted stability and compatibility update focused on resolving Season installation issues. Core gameplay mechanics and ratings systems remain unchanged.

  • Fixed an Installing Seasons error by adjusting code that was not synchronizing properly with a Windows update, which caused failures when installing new Season Add-On files.

Patch v1.3 is a targeted stability, data accuracy, and visual refinement update. This patch focuses on correcting standings/stat displays, data placement issues, and improving overall on-screen readability.

  • Core gameplay mechanics and ratings systems remain unchanged.

  • Corrected formulas on the Standings page in Stat Manager to display correct standings data.

  • Corrected code in the TDCB Game file that was inadvertently pasting data in the Home team stats section on the Stats page.

  • Fixed link in the Shortcut to the Game Manual.

  • Updated various font sizes for better visuals throughout the Game and Stat Manager file

version 1.2 Patch Notes (12/19/25)

Patch v1.2 is a targeted gameplay, stat-display, and usability update focused on improving substitution logic, stat view behavior, and on-screen readability during gameplay.

  • Core gameplay mechanics and ratings systems remain unchanged.

  • Fixed an issue with subbing out players who were fouled out or injured, ensuring substitutions occur properly and without interruption.

  • Updated internal code to ensure smooth and reliable performance during substitution scenarios.

  • Added logic to ensure the Full Game Stats view is automatically selected on the Stats page at the start of each game.

  • Fixed alignment of stat view selection boxes over '1H', '2H', 'OT', and 'GAME' that previously prevented proper stat view changes.

  • Increased font size on various text selections throughout the game for improved visibility across different display setups.

version 1.1 Patch Notes (12/16/25)

Patch v1.1 is a stability, display, and usability update designed to improve how Tournament Dreams College Basketball performs across a wide range of display ratios, monitor sizes, Excel versions and Windows scaling settings. Core gameplay logic and ratings systems remain unchanged.

Display & Layout Improvements

• Adjusted screen layouts in both the Game and Stat Manager files to better support common display ratios.

• Updated navigation icon sizes to improve available vertical screen space.

• Added Zoom + / – controls to the COURT page (Game file) and Team Stats Summary page (Stat Manager).

• Additional layout refinements for consistent appearance across monitors and scaling settings.

stability adjustments

• Manual calculation enforced on workbook open to prevent intermittent auto-calculation during gameplay.

• Removed unintended text strikethrough caused by Excel’s Formula Stale Values feature.

• Removed unnecessary VBA references to eliminate compile errors.

• Fixed a run-time error related to starting lineup selection.

Replay & Stat Management Enhancements

• Delete Replay now removes all associated stats tied to the deleted replay.

• Added Delete All Stats option for users who wish to delete all stats to that point, resetting your stat tracking.

• Added safeguards to prevent accidental double-saving of individual game statistics.

IMPORTANT – PLEASE READ BEFORE INSTALLING

Installing Version 1.1 will overwrite the Game and Stat Manager files. No uninstall is required. Saved stats in database and license key information is preserved.

  • Any saved tournament brackets will be overwritten and cannot be preserved.

  • Named replays will be overwritten; however, all previously saved replay statistics are preserved. Users should write down replay names exactly as written before installing.

  • Any in-progress saved games will be overwritten.

  • After installation, open the Stat Manager and click REFRESH STATS before viewing
